Joseph C. Morelock, age 71, of Perrysburg Township, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg surrounded by his family.  He was born on February 11, 1946 in Bowling Green, OH to Arlo and Marcielle (Fruchey) Morelock.  He married Renee (Busch) and together they raised two daughters.  Joe proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was employed as a glassworker with Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company for 36 years.  Joe was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Master and the Northwood VFW #2984.  He had a passion for fishing, was known as “two fish” and always caught the “biggest one”.  He enjoyed softball, spending time with his canine companion, “Bad Boy” and loved kids, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter.  He was the love of Renee’s life, a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be forever missed.

Surviving is his loving wife of 48 years, Renee; children, Kelli Schultz, Kimberly (Matt) Calaway; grandchildren, Erin Schultz-Cooper, Trent Morelock; great granddaughter, Christina Cooper; siblings, Betty (Allen) Humphrey, Ruth Leach, Kathy (Bill) Tinney, Mary Conley, Frank (Debby) Morelock, Larry (Millie) Morelock and Ray (Wanda) Featzka.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mick and Jim Morelock, Donna Baker and Wanda Misgasky.

Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2 to 8 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Master, 28744 Simmons Rd. Perrysburg, OH 43551 where the family will greet visitors beginning at 10 AM.  Interment will follow at New Belleville Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lutheran Church of the Master or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
