Dennis “Ace” Hollerbach, age 70, of Rossford, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. He was born on October 9, 1947 in Toledo to Carl and Jeanette (Ziarno) Hollerbach. Dennis was a graduate of Rogers High School and attended the University of Toledo. He Married Rosemarie “Rosie” Schneider on August 8, 1970 and together they raised 4 children. Dennis was a devoted family man, a hard worker and loved his playtime. He was employed as a truck driver for Nickles Bakery for 27 years. His retired jobs included Walmart, Marcos Pizza, Brandywine Country Club, Riverby Golf Course, the Huntington Center and Auto Value. He was a sports fanatic that enjoyed golfing and bowling and of course putting in the “occasional” wager on professional sports. He was an umpire for many years and an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. He and his family attended many games over the years. He also agonized over rooting on the Detroit Lions and loved to cheer on the Buckeyes! He enjoyed traveling with Rosie to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas. He had the gift of gab and would strike up a conversation with anyone willing to listen to him.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Rosie; children, JoAnne (Jeff Disbrow), Lisa (Bret) Ebaugh, Eric Hollerbach and David (Kat) Hollerbach; grandchildren, Cassie, Carly, Andrew, Tricia, Wesley, Noah, Aiden, Tyler, Zachary and Kyle; nieces and nephews, Tom, John and Jim Sankiewicz, John, Jenny, and Joe Pazdzior, Mike, Julie, Debbie (Lamb) Hollerbach and Sue Shepler. Also surviving are 18 great nieces and nephews and 9 great-great nieces and nephews along with countless friends that he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jenny Rose; siblings, Leona Sankiewicz, John and Donald Pazdzior, Ray and Norma (Shepler) Hollerbach; and nephew, Wayne Shepler.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 2 to 8 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10 AM where the family will greet visitors in the church narthex beginning at 9 AM. Interment will be private. Contributions in memory of Dennis may be directed to All Saints Catholic Church.
