Jerry M. Trzcinski

October 24, 1924 ~ June 27, 2017 (age 92)

Geraldine “Jerry” M. Trzcinski, age 92 passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee.  Jerry was born on October 24th, 1924 to John and Theresa Wysocki [Syroka] in Toledo, Ohio. She attended St. Adalbert’s School and graduated from Woodward in1942. Jerry also attended Stautzenberger College and majored in accounting.

On February 17th, 1945, she married Edward J. Trzcinski.

From an early age, Jerry was involved in the local bowling scene. Her Uncle John owned Mercury Lanes in the North End and she helped him run his business. She became an avid bowler and was active in the local TWBA as VP and President and Director. She used her business prowess to attract thousands of bowlers to NW Ohio for the Ladies State Tournament. Determined to make a name for bowling in Ohio, she ran for and was elected as the Ohio WBA Director for 12 years and was proud to share the stage with her daughter, Sue, who was the President of the Bowling Proprietors Association of Ohio at the same time! Jerry was inducted into the TWBA Hall of Fame as well as the Hall of Honor. She was also inducted as OWBA Member of Meritus.

In addition to bowling, she and her husband, Eddie were the proud owners of Jerry and Eddie’s Café, a local Polish bar. She and Eddie ran the business for over 25 years. At age 68, she sold the bar and was finally ready to retire, however, she failed retirement and worked another 20 years as the league coordinator at Interstate Lanes.

She cherished spending time with her great-grandchildren. She was so proud of them and loved hearing stories from their most recent activities. One of her favorite things to do was help "coach" them in the after-school bowling program at Interstate.

Jerry is survived by her daughter, Sue [Al] Pinski; son, Jack [Kathy] Trzcinski; grandchildren, Lisa [Matt] Logan, Nick Pinski, Matt Trzcinski, Maggie [Danny] Sutton, Mick Trzcinski, Marianne Trzcinski and Tara Kimball; great-grandchildren, Katharine, Clare, Madeline, Anthony, Lizzie, Charlie, Henry and Ashton; sister, Sharon Farmer; and brother, Ron Wysocki. Also surviving are special nieces and nephews: Dawn, Marsha, Marla, Dane and Darrin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward [Eddie] Trzcinski; brother, Dr. Robert [Doc] Wysocki; and sister, Evelyn Wysocki.
