Merlyn “Rocky” Nawrocki, age 80, of Perrysburg Township, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. He was born on October 7, 1938 to John and Thelma (Kornasiewicz) Nawrocki. Rocky was employed with Chrysler as a millwright for more than 35 years and then went to work at the Rossford Marina as a guard. Rocky loved the sunshine, being outdoors and especially being by the river. He was a member of the self-proclaimed “Rossford River Rats”. He enjoyed working on boats, building trailers and riding his Harley Davidson. He was a loving Husband, father and “Papaw” who will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 37 years, Carolyn Joyce (Wilkerson) Nawrocki; children, Leslie Nawrocki – Woodward, Taracia (Rick Burson) Chumley, Thomas Chumley and Christopher Nawrocki; grandchildren, Tahylar, Alexandria, Katherine, Conagher and Hunter; and great granddaughter, Aubrielle. Also surviving are many dear friends from the Rossford community.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents.
